Fear - How Can You Overcome It?

Ever had fear stop you from doing something, maybe even from asking someone for a favour? I know that I have and I still do. Sometimes fear gets the better of me and other times I remember when I overcame the fears that I had in exactly the same way for other things. One of the best ways I found to over come fear was to do the exact thing I had a fear of doing. For example I was fearful of calling a friend of mine for a favour so I called her and her response was unfavourable, but I thought of another friend and so I called him and his response was unfavourable and then I decided I'd call anyone I could think of until I found someone who could help me.

No one else helped me because they didn't like me or what I did, it was just that they couldn't at the time do that favour for me but out of the lot one person could. I could have given up and so could you after a few try's but I chose not do so and because I chose not to I got the result I was looking for. If I had given up I wouldn't have found someone willing to help me. Have I given up before, yes I have but over the years I have found that if I persist at something long enough I will have the results that I'm looking for.

Whilst going through the process of being persistant I usually have a lot of self development to do. This self development assists me in seeing what is in the way of the areas of my life not working out and usually - well most certainly it has to do with limiting beliefs. This is where a coach or kinesiologist can assist you in creating a breakthrough in your life by removing the emotional attachements associated with the limiting belief and creating a brand new belief in yourself. And remember once a belief is created it creates a way of being which is multiplied everytime you take action to reinforce your belief whether it is positive or negative to you.

You may have had 30 years of having a belief that limits you and it is easy for you to go back to having your former life once you have created a belief change if you do not take appropriate action with your new beliefs. And if you have setbacks in the meantime it just means there is another layer for you to work on to make yourself resonate more with your new belief. Whatever does not resonate or creates resistance is an energy blockage created by a belief that has been running as a program that has been reinforced over and over again, anchoring any emotions that come up in regards to that limiting belief.

New beliefs or ways of being will create resistance. Remember resistance is a force that pushes back. So if you're going in one direction --> resistance is the opposing force <--. When you give up the opposing force wins but if you persist in your new direction and keep looking at what program it is that you're running or have been running up until now you start to create an awareness.

Awareness is the key and no matter how hard you look for yourself you wont see it (I have a saying "if you're standing in crap you wont know that it is crap until someone comes along and pulls you out of it and shows you differently, only then will you know"), that is you'll have awareness.

Having awareness does not mean avoiding dealing with whatever comes up by trying to bypass or walking around it, it means acquiring the ability to deal with it appropriately. If fear is stopping you, then having awareness means you can acquire the ability to deal with fear appropriately. And the more you are able to do what it takes to deal with fear the stronger you will become and you will overcome fear. Fear will no longer be a challenge or an opposing force, fear will be transformed for you, thus courage.

Speak with your coach or go to a kinesiologist or another professional who can help you in becoming aware of what's stopping you in your life and then equip yourself with skills that will create a breakthrough and propel you into the future. Have a wonderful journey conquering your fears.

Opportunity

Ever thought to yourself that you wanted something more, something that will fulfill you or something that you could have as a stepping stone to the life of fulfillment you want? When was the last time you did that?

There is always a reason why we do the things we do and then there are reasons why the universe provides us with opportunities along the way. When we have a goal or a dream to be a certain way, to do things in our lives and to have the benefits then there are no coincidences when opportunity comes knocking on the door. When we seize this opportunity we give clear signals to the universe that we are ready to embark on a new journey in our lives, a journey where we will experience the rollercoaster ride of up, down, sideways, upside down, hanging or being on a plateau and sometimes the downright nasty of throwing up whether it be on ourselves or on others. We go through the highs and the lows in order to grow, to personally develop, to learn new skills, to let go of those things such as beliefs and skills that don’t work and to create life brand new.

How this opportunity comes about is by you having a compelling reason (s) to change your life. It could quite simply be being able to pay for food. Ask yourself the question why would I like to have _________? What will having this in my life give me? How will having this in my life benefit me? How will it benefit the people I love? How will it benefit my community, the world (if you so choose to take the challenge)? What will my life be like if I did not get _________?

The one thing I personally believe that helps in creating the difference in making dreams and goals come true is to be in communication with a coach or therapist in whatever phase of life it is that you’re going through. Whatever the challenges or circumstances that arise, they can assist you in breaking through the barriers that come up and to create a new level of being. They will always be there to remind you of your “why”; this is the most powerful thing you can have in your life. Your “why” will drive you and the universe will create circumstances that bring you exactly what or whom you need in order for you to attain the life you want. When you have a dream that is compelling enough you’ll create your pathway of success.

Write your “why” down in a place where you can see it and read it everyday. Put it in more than one place if need be. Remind yourself how important your "why" is and if you falter, your coach or therapist are there as a team to help you. Send someone who champions you in your life to being a success an email with your "why" and explain to that person if they don't already know why it is that you're writing them that email. This person will be someone whom you can turn to, when you are feeling low or you feel that failure is around the corner and by sharing and being in touch with your all powerful "why" you will once again have the ball rolling for the universe to give you circumstances and people for the success of your "why".

Your "why" will change once you 'made it', and you will find a bigger "why" in your life.

My "why" in my life right now is have both my son (age 9) and my daughter (age 4) living together, living a great life of freedom, love and respect, enjoying life with family and friends, having opportunities to travel the world and making a difference in the lives of others. To give back what we have gotten and more.

Reasons for Success

Keep your goals realistic and achievable. Take one step at a time.

Most people want to bypass the baby steps they require to build the commitment and have gradual change which then changes brain chemistry especially thoughts and gives them tenacity and perseverance. By bypassing they do not retrain their minds to think differently. This is something we all need when we make changes in our lives... Keep the end goal in sight and in the meantime work with the steps that will get you there.

Sometimes timing isn't right and we need to look at what we are holding onto, usually a belief that you aren't aware of or not letting go of. Work out what needs to be done in that area and get professional assistance to help you with this like such as a life coach or kinesiologist. Generally it's unfinished business where you know on some level that if you move to the next step without having created marked changes in that particular area or phase of life then you'll be jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

A smoother landing on greener pastures means tending to the pasture you have now and having this pasture be as good as the other one then moving forward means having a greater comfort zone then previously and thus being able to broaden your horizons.. And on the other hand you can go and frolick in the greener pastures in the meantime and learn from that experience and bring it back within you so your world reflects that.

There are also times where evolution will force you to bypass certain developments and emerge completely different to where you envisaged yourself to be. These are the pioneers - visionaries with a higher sense of purpose - and visionaries too had to persist and be tenacious and were most likely fearful of change - yet they did not let that stop them from following their hearts. They too had to keep an end goal in mind. What they get is different but generally much grander effecting change not just to self but to others.

Change will and does occur when you commit yourself to something and apply all the necessary actions required to effect the change. In order to harvest your good you need to sow and before that you need to prepare yourself (tilling the soil). This is where your mind, body and spirit will need to be aligned to create flow. So work on all of these areas to create whatever it is you wish to in your life.

Strength

How strong are you? Does your strength lie in just your mind or your body or your spirit?

Strength is a combination of all three. Having strength only in body does not fulfill your dreams and ideals nor your souls yearning in the world. Having strength in mind when a body is weak does not fulfill the actions required physically for your ideals to manifest and having strength in spirit only - well you'll always yearn but wont have the strength for creating a plan nor putting the plan into action.

The body requires strengthening through nutrition and exercise, the mind through education, and various therapies that help in removing beliefs and structures that have created blockages and spirit through practise in meditation or prayer or any form of spirituality where you are connected with others and follow your heart.

Any imbalances caused in one of the areas mentioned above will create imbalance in the other areas as well. You may at any given time access one area and build strength in that area but if you neglect the other areas over time they will falter as those areas will not grow in conjunction with the 1st area and thus incongruence between the areas will be caused. When this happens most people feel stuck and create stress in their lives. But do not take this to mean that you cannot do something about this nor that you're wrong for where you are at - for nature has a way of bringing things back into balance.

When you are at a place where you feel stuck then evaluate the situation you're in or seek help from someone who is able to assist you with this process you're undergoing and help you find the areas which have been neglected and turn this "negative" situation into a positive one. This is your chance to grow in the other areas and strengthen them and then bring all the areas into harmony with each other and working in balance.

Ever notice when you're in the zone and things are flowing for you, you feel great, look great and everything seems to work with you and what you want in your life? This is accomplished when all areas of your life are working together to create this. Each and every detail is taken care of, people appear in your life that help guide you to your next step and opportunities and situations abound totally in synchronicity. Strength in every area of your life coalesces just like a river flowing and when it is time you evolve by leaping into the unknown just like a waterfall with the strength in every area to back you up so you create something magnificent. You will notice that others will be inspired by you and motivated to create this magnificence in their lives.

Strength begets strength and when our being is in total alignment and harmony we are complete within ourselves. The combination of strength in all areas of our lives gives us immeasurable power that comes from our soul to create an amazing life for ourselves and gives others around us a glimpse of the opportunity they too can have, thus living from their souls. Follow your heart and strengthen your mind, body and spirit so you too can have an amazing life.
